Detection is a classification result, not a download license. Check each individual capability before using a source.

Supported sources and capabilities

URLPull reports each capability separately. Recognizing a source does not mean its video or audio can be downloaded.

What the availability labels actually mean

Available

The stated operation has an enabled, applicable public path; a particular link can still fail because its server does not offer a usable asset or rejects access.

Limited

Only some public URL forms or asset variants are supported. Inspect the source and expected output; do not infer universal provider coverage.

Under review / Not available

Missing provider authorization, incomplete runtime proof or a blocked policy gate means the operation must not be presented as ready. An identified hostname is not an approval.

Choose a public link by how it is hosted

If the URL itself points to a public file, start with a direct-file tool. If it points to a webpage containing different images, audio and video, use Website Media to inspect discoverable references. For a known type, PDF, Image and Video tools help explain output-specific limits.

A page may be publicly viewable while its media is delivered only to signed-in users, protected by DRM, or hosted at expiring origins. URLPull does not circumvent those controls. If nothing appears, compare the FAQ troubleshooting steps with the source URL's actual permissions.

Why provider recognition never grants ownership rights

Recognizing a TikTok, YouTube or another provider URL helps route a request toward the right policy decision. It does not enable copying protected material, scraping a private session or claiming provider endorsement. TikTok Login Kit basic-identity review is a restricted, disabled-by-default workflow; proposed Data Portability is a separately approved account-owner process, unavailable in Sandbox.

URLPull's public generic tools and future consented-account integrations do not share a permission model. Read the product design explanation, Terms and Privacy Policy before submitting content.

Frequently asked source questions

Can a recognized provider URL still be blocked?

Yes. Detection is a classification; downloads may remain unavailable due to provider terms, missing approvals or unsupported technical paths.

Does a visible preview prove a file is downloadable?

No. A thumbnail, embedded player or metadata entry may appear even when the original bytes cannot lawfully or technically be delivered.

What if I control the account?

Account ownership may be relevant to a separate scoped export integration, but it does not automatically activate a public URL downloader. Learn about generic versus account-authorized processing.
