How it works

Reddit-hosted videos may publish picture and sound in separate streams. The accepted adapter merges only local downloaded bytes. Paste a public reddit.com/r/.../comments/... post URL. The provider resolver verifies the post and delivers one native muxed video candidate.

Reddit image posts required authentication during bounded tests and are blocked. No standalone Reddit audio feature is inferred from muxed video.

Privacy and processing

Submit only rights-cleared public URLs. URLPull never requests account passwords or cookies for provider preview. Preview uses first-party opaque, short-lived, single-use image tickets, not provider CDN links in the browser.

Troubleshooting

An operator-disabled provider stays recognized but cannot download. Private content, unsupported media subtypes and expired sources remain unavailable; never bypass a login or CAPTCHA.

Why does a Reddit download include audio in one MP4?

The worker downloads authorized native tracks through its broker and merges files locally; it does not pass remote media URLs to FFmpeg.
